James W.J. Collier, Jr., Esq.

James Collier was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. He received his Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax in May 1989, and he received his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Dalhousie University Law School, also in Halifax, in May 1999. While studying for each degree, and during the years between his receipt of the degrees, James worked as a commercial inshore fisherman sailing out of his home port of Shad Bay, Nova Scotia.

James was admitted to the Maine Bar in May 2001. He worked at Smith and Collier, P.A. since it opened its office doors on May 1, 2003. Prior to that time, he worked with Chad Smith and Eileen Fahey at the Bar Harbor law firm of Fenton, Chapman, Smith & Kane, P.A.

James’ practices in the areas of real estate (e.g., transactions, mortgages, refinancing, municipal tax appeals, mechanic’s liens, and land use and zoning matters), municipal law, small business formation and estate administration.

Eileen McGlinchey Fahey, Esq.

Eileen McGlinchey Fahey was born in West Hempstead, NY. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from St. Leo College in St. Leo, Florida and her Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida in 1986. Upon becoming a member of the Florida Bar she returned home to Pasco County Florida, initially working as an attorney with Jack B. McPherson, P.A., later known as McPherson, McGlinchey & Hammond, P.A., and then as an Assistant County Attorney handling civil matters for Pasco County. She relocated to Ithaca, NY, was admitted to practice law in New York and worked for Wiggins and Masson, P.A. In 1995 she moved to Maine. She was admitted to the Maine Bar in 1996 and practiced in Portland, working for Hopkinson & Abbondanza, P.A. In 1999 Eileen relocated to Mount Desert Island with her husband James Fahey, a veterinarian employed at Jackson Laboratory, and their two daughters. She was an associate attorney from 1999 to 2005 with Fenton, Chapman, Smith and Kane, P.A., later Fenton, Chapman and Kane, P.A.

Eileen practices in the areas of estate planning practice (wills and trusts), estate administration (probate), real estate and small business formation.
